Types and characteristics of patterned glass Patterned glass, also known as Pattern Mirror or knurled glass, is generally divided into patterned glass, vacuum coated patterned glass and colored film patterned glass.

The patterned glass manufacturing process is divided into single-roll method and double-roll method.

Single-roll method: pouring molten glass onto the calendering table. The table can be made of cast iron or cast steel. The table or rollers are engraved with patterns. The rollers are rolled on the surface of the glass liquid, and the patterned glass made is then sent to the annealing kiln.

Double-roll method: The production of patterned glass is divided into two processes: semi-continuous rolling and continuous rolling. The molten glass passes through a pair of water-cooled rolls and is drawn forward to the annealing kiln as the rolls rotate. Generally, the surface of the lower roll has concave-convex patterns, and the upper roll The roll is a polished roll, resulting in patterned glass with a pattern on one side.

The physical and chemical properties of embossed glass are basically the same as those of ordinary transparent flat glass Antique Mirror. It is only optically transparent and opaque, which can make the light soft, and has the function of privacy screen and certain decorative effect.

Embossed glass features:

1. Embossed glass is relatively poor in perspective, and the display of different patterns on patterned glass is quite different. The process of different patterns is also divided into three-dimensional embossed and film embossed glass types. According to the test , the light transmittance of patterned glass is about 60%, and the pattern can also be diffused, so it will appear a strong three-dimensional vision, which can give people a bright feeling.

2. The processing types used for different patterns of embossed glass are also quite different, because different scenes with different patterns will have more outstanding decoration effects.

3. Because of the concealment and decoration of Silver Mirror, patterned glass is mostly used in bathrooms, toilets, or indoor partitions.
